When you register on Bookr, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password, and the role you select (employer or candidate). Candidates may also provide a job title, skills, certifications, work history, location, and preferred categories. Employers may provide a company name, industry, location, and contact details.

Job Listings

Employers who post jobs provide details including job title, description, category, location, salary range, and employment type. This information is published publicly on the platform.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use Bookr, including pages visited, search queries, actions taken (such as viewing a profile or applying to a job), timestamps, browser type, operating system, and IP address. This data is used solely to improve the platform experience.

Communications

If you contact us via email or through the platform, we retain a record of that communication including your contact details and the content of the message.

To Provide the Service

We use your information to create and manage your account, display your profile to relevant parties, deliver personalised job or candidate matches, and facilitate connections between employers and candidates.

To Improve Bookr

Aggregated usage data helps us understand how people interact with the platform, identify bugs, and prioritise improvements. We never sell individual usage data to third parties.

To Communicate with You

We may send you emails related to your account, such as verification messages, activity notifications, and policy updates. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting us at agencybookr.com@pm.me.

To Enforce Our Policies

We use information to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service and Trust & Safety policies.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

Bookr does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.

Visible Profile Information

Information you choose to include on your public profile (such as your name, skills, job title, and location for candidates; or company name, industry, and job listings for employers) is visible to other registered users of the platform. You control what you include in your profile.

Service Providers

We work with a small number of trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform — for example, cloud infrastructure and email delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights or safety of Bookr or its users, or investigate potential violations of our policies.

Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. To make a subject access request, please email agencybookr.com@pm.me.

Correction

You may update or correct your personal information at any time through your account settings, or by contacting us directly.

Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. Once deleted, your profile and job listings will be removed from the platform. Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes for a limited period.

Portability

You may request an export of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.

Objection & Restriction

You have the right to object to certain types of processing or request that we restrict how we use your data in specific circumstances.

Essential Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. These cannot be disabled as they are required for the platform to function.

Analytics

We may use anonymised analytics data to understand how users navigate Bookr. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking technologies.

Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may impact your ability to use certain features of the platform.

How We Protect Your Data

Bookr is hosted on the Internet Computer, a decentralised cloud platform with strong security guarantees at the infrastructure level. We apply encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data exchanged between your browser and our platform. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. We recommend using a strong, unique password. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at agencybookr.com@pm.me.

Active Accounts

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

Deleted Accounts

When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days. Certain records may be retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution purposes.

Bookr is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account on Bookr, please contact us immediately at agencybookr.com@pm.me and we will take steps to delete the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users by email. Your continued use of Bookr after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
